Hello!
It was so nice to see you last week at our conferences. As I mentioned to you, please know that I am happy to meet almost anytime if you want to continue our conversation...I know 15 minutes goes fast!
We will begin our new "trimester" special class this Wednesday. We had P.E on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the first 1/3 of the year and now we will have Music on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
This week, the children will...
Language Arts:
- learn the last 2 letters qu, and z
- learn the trick word: and
- write about a true event or experience
- practice isolating beginning and ending sounds in words
- complete Fundations unit 1 assessment
- practice writing all the lower case letters
- build words!
Math:
- practice writing numbers 6-10
- draw to represent those numbers
- sequence numbers
- counting and counting on from number
- using 10 frames to show a number's quantity
Social Emotional:
- review several of the second step lessons and do some role playing to act out some scenarios that apply to our class.
Science:
- will build a structure that can withstand a "quake"
