Hello Families!
This is our last blog post...can you believe it? Thank you so much for the end of the year class gift! The book is amazing- I have NO idea how it was pulled off! It is very special and will be a lovely momento from this wonderful class. I am very (very) excited about my GC to Marshalls- the students know how much I love Marshalls 😂. Maybe I will put the GC towards a new back to school outfit for the 26-27 year!
If your child is not planning to be at school the last day, could you please give me a heads up? I have a few little gifts for the students and I will want to make sure he/she gets everything!
It has been a joy being your child's teacher and watching them grow in so many ways this year!!💝
This Week:
Monday- we will be celebrating all our summer birthdays. My students born from 6/19-8/30 will be celebrated all day long!
Wednesday-
- move up day: we will get the opportunity to visit a first grade classroom, meet a teacher and ask questions about next year
- End of year "party": at the end of the day we will play a few games, have a treat snack (I will provide one:) and I have a few surprises for the kiddos👏
Thursday-
- Clap off: we will cheer for the second graders as they parade around the school for the last time as Shaker Laners!
- After that, we will have popsicles (I will provide them) in our classroom or in "our yard" (just outside the classroom) and say our goodbyes...😢
- 12:20 dismissal
- report cards will be open in ASPEN after school
I hope you have an amazing summer!
Here are a few pictures from last week: Craft Day, water table block building challenge, picnic snack, sharing their ocean animal stories, making and sharing zoo maps, outdoor learning and water day!
