October 7-11th BOOK FAIR is coming!

Hello!

We are really close to filling our heart jar again so stay tuned to how we will celebrate! 👏

A book fair order form should have come home with your child last week. If you did not get one, please let me know and I will see if there are any extras or you can look online.  HERE is the link. We will be going to the book fair as a class on Thursday during our library time. It is helpful if students come with money in a baggie or envelope, labeled with the amount and their name. It is suggested that $11 will cover a $9.99 book + tax.  Of course you can go as a family during the after school times on Tuesday  (5-7:00). Come and guess who the masked readers are! There will be 4 "masked readers" at the evening book fair and students are invited to guess who they think the reader might be!

Reminder: The class book order (different from our book fair!) that was sent home the previous week, is due on 10/6.

Just a reminder to please send your child's folder to school each day. Everyone got a folder so if your child does not have a folder, please replace it or let me know and I will get another. The children are learning the routines and it is difficult without consistency. Thanks so much!😁

To promote literacy "after school", there will be a series of PJ Story Times at our town library. I will be reading at the Reuben Hoar library this Wednesday evening for their PJ story time! It is a free event - just bring a stuffy and get comfy!

This week, the students will:

  • review all the trick words learned to date
  • learn how to write and identify the letters (and sounds) of a, g
