The Buzz in Room 103: February 26-March 1st CONSTRUCTION

Hello!

I hope you are all having a wonderful February vacation week. I am excited for our new theme- construction! This week the students will be participating in theme related activities such as "constructing" words, sentences, number stories, buildings, etc. We will have lots of construction "challenges" throughout the week! We will be reading about different construction machinery and looking at bridges, buildings and things around us (like our own school and playground) that have been built with plans.

We will begin a new writing unit called "How To" writing. This will tie in nicely with our theme as well!

This week is a full week of school and Friday is the Shaker Lane VIRTUAL dance party! This is a fun school event that you can do from home. There is a DJ and it is fun for the students to see their friends dancing from home. Look for more information on this as it gets closer. Mrs. Kane will send out the link.
